Roulette
General Rules
Roulette is a banking game; all bets are placed against the house. The player
bets on the arrangement for a number, group of numbers or colour that he/she
predicts will win. The dealer will throw the ball along the wheel's rim once
all the bets are in for that turn. The bank will pay you or collect from you
when the ball comes to a stop in a winning number. Then, bets are placed again
for the next spin.
The values of the chips are set for the table. If, for example, you are playing a $10 table, then each of your chips will be valued at $10. Before every spin of the wheel, you are allowed to place a bet. This bet will have to satisfy the minimum bet required for the table. You are allowed to place as many chips on the table at once as you want (up to the maximum limit).
American Roulette
The roulette wheel is divided into 38 sections. Every section has walls to
hold a small ball if the ball lands there once the wheel has stopped spinning.
These sections are numbered from 1 to 36, (half in red and half in black, half
of them odd and half of them even) with two additional green sections, one
marked 0 and the other marked 00.
The lows are numbers 1 to 18 and the highs are numbers 19 to 36.
European Roulette
The roulette wheel is divided into 37 sections 37. Every section has walls to
hold a small ball if the ball lands there once the wheel has stopped spinning.
These sections are numbered from 1 to 36, (half in red and half in black, half
of them odd and half of them even) with an additional green section marked
0.
The lows are numbers 1 to 18 and the highs are numbers 19 to 36.
La Partage
When the zero wins, the La partage rule is used to determine what happens with
the stakes. All even-money bets (i.e. red/black, even/odd, 1-18/19-36) will
lose half of their value and all other bets will lose, except for bets on zero
itself.
Roulette Bets
Combination bets and straight bets are the two types of bets allowed on the
Roulette layout.
Combination Bets
When a player makes a bet by placing his/her chip on the lines between the
marked boxes to include more than one box in the bet, this is called a
Combination Bet. The odds for these bets are different from the odds for
straight bets.
Inside Bets (or straight up)
Payout is 35 to 1 - you may place any chip on any single number
Split Bets
Payout is 17 to 1 - you may place a chip on the line between any two adjacent
numbers. You will win if either number comes up.
Street (Trio or Three Number)
Bets
Payout is 11 to 1 - you may place a chip on the horizontal line across the top
of the layout on any number of the twelve columns of three numbers. You will
receive all the numbers in the street.
Quad (Corner) Bets
Payout is 8 to 1 - you may place a chip between any four number groupings
(for example 4, 5, 7, 8) and you will receive all four numbers in that
group.
Quint Bet
Payout is 6 to 1 - 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3 is the only possible five number
grouping in the Roulette layout. You should place the chip on the upper
horizontal line between the 00 and the 3.
Double Street (Six number) Bet
Payout is 5 to 1 - to get all six numbers in the double streets you should
place a chip on the outside line between adjacent streets.
Straight Bets
Any bet you make by placing your chip outside the 36 numbers marked on the
layout is called a straight bet. The dozen bets, the column bets and the
outside bets are all straight bets.
Dozen Bets
Payout is 2 to 1 - you should place a chip in the 1st 12 (1 to 12),
2nd 12 (13 to 24) or 3rd 12 (25 to 36)

Payout is 2 to 1 - you may place a chip in a box at the end of one of three
columns
Outside (Even money) Bets
